Green smoothies are a great way to start the day. This one is filled with green goodness, but has delicious hints of blueberry rhubarb pie, without all the sugar (swiss chard tastes a bit like rhubarb). I also added hemp and sesame seeds for extra protein, vitamins and energy.
This smoothie is so healthy but oh so yummy! It is not very sweet, but I like it this way, especially since I cannot have sugar during the cleanse. For those with a sweet tooth, you could certainly add a bit of maple syrup or agave nectar. Here is to another detox breakfast!
